WELCOME TO THE CAVALCADE OF COSTUME MUSEUM HOME PAGE
The Cavalcade of Costume, Historical Costume Museum was the inspiration of the remarkable Mrs Betty Penny. She had travelled the country with her costumes for a period of 35 years and was awarded the M.B.E. in 1984 for her contribution to charity.
Eventually it was agreed that it was time to find a home for her collection and the beautiful Lime Tree House was found in Blandford Forum. The trustees and management are committed to the continuation of Mrs Penny's dream of a warm and friendly museum which is a delight to visit. |
